Bridle Trails · Bellevue, Washington
An award-winning David Coleman sanctuary on a private acre among preserved native cedars. Three wings. Origami roof. Offered fully furnished.
The Essence
Designed to dissolve the boundary between architecture and nature, this home is full of light and close to the forest. An L-shaped plan sets the building back on its private acre, creating interconnected rooms - both interior and exterior - terraced among towering native cedars.
Three Wings

Material Palette
Interiors are defined by quiet, intentional design. Pocket doors, concealed shade pockets, and integrated systems disappear from view. A suspended sapele ceiling over the kitchen integrates lighting and audio. Materials flow seamlessly between indoors and out.

2023 Addition
A transformative addition that elevates daily living. The interior terrace features a living green wall beneath a dramatic origami skylight that opens to the sky, dissolving the ceiling into forest canopy.
